Dodson Council

Membership includes all parents of Dodson School.

The goals of the Dodson Council are to support teaching and learning at Dodson Elementary School along with promoting a strong school community. All Dodson parents and teachers are vital to the success of the Council. The Council consists of committees who are responsible for organizing and planning school programs. Each committee has a coordinator. There are also Council Coordinators who serve as liaisons between the Council and the committee chairpersons/chairpeople who are encouraged to attend the Dodson Council meetings to update the Council on committee activities.

Purpose of monthly Dodson Council meetings include:

• Review meeting minutes
• Financial report
• Report from school Principal
• Committee and Coordinator reports
• Parental input/questions/concerns
• Special guests

All Council votes will be decided by a simple majority vote of those in attendance following a discussion.
